Classification of diamond circular saw blades

Diamond saw blade is a cutting tool, which is widely used in the processing of hard and brittle materials such as concrete, refractory materials, masonry, and ceramics. More and more industries use diamond saw blades in the production process. With the integration and subdivision of the industry, the types of diamond saw blades are becoming more and more refined. Machining quality depends not only on the skills of the workers, but also on choosing the right diamond saw blade.

1. Classification by manufacturing process

    1. Sintered diamond saw blade: divided into two types: cold pressing and hot pressing, sintered after pressing.

    2. Welding diamond saw blades: divided into high-frequency welding and laser welding. High-frequency welding welds the diamond segment and the steel core together through a high-temperature melting medium, and laser welding uses a high-temperature laser beam to melt the contact edge of the diamond segments and the steel core to form a metallurgical bond .

3. Electroplated diamond saw blade: the diamond powder is attached to the steel core by electroplating.

2. Classification by appearance

1. Continuous rim blade: Continuous rim diamond saw blade is generally made by sintering method. When cutting, water need to be added to ensure the cutting effect, It will also reduce the lifespan of the saw blade.

2.        Segmented diamond blade: There are gaps between each segment, not connected. The cutting speed is fast, and it is suitable for dry and wet cutting methods.

3.        Turbo diamond saw blade: Combining the advantages of 1 and 2 above, the sawtooth continuously presents a turbine-like uniform convex and concave, which improves the cutting speed and lifespan. Because it is often used to cut hard stones such as granite, it is called "diamond blade turbo for granite".
